This work is about damages and decay, hurt and abuse which can never be repaired. Like my other works I believe in this idea that every action works in one direction. Damage once caused can never be repaired. Their scars forever. In this work i have used clothes of people and noted down all types of abuse they have gone through . which includes mental , emotional , psychological abuse. All this had made an impression in their hearts so I tore the clothes to represent their abuse . Cotton was thus used to soften and cover the wounds . But the fact that the scars were so deep and permanent that even after stitching them ( kind of a healing medium) they were still abused and looked torn and hurt forever . The setting of this installation was done in the corner of the space enclosed. Thus the viewer is forced to go closer and the smell of burnt cotton is strong , which would cause suffocation and the viewer would get a little hint of the pain and suffocation the abused victims have gone through .
Similar experiments are done with different materials like orange peels ,latex and so on.
