Guiltlessness

Objective-
I would like the viewers to experiences the freshness, beauty and purity of my work when they encounter it from far. I want its serenity to attract the viewers to come closer and have a look at the carnations on it. The carnations represent mother hood and innocence. And the material used is a pads. Sanitary napkins represent puberty maturity, putting them on a child’s skirt -a skirt, which reminds them of fairies and angels would get people thinking about the dark of reality- Pedophilia.

Rationale- The pads are not stark and visible they are put up in a mysterious way where I want the people to be in a mystery about the material. When they have a closer look at it I want them to think about the stark reality of having these on a fairy dress. The dress put-up is only the skirt and thus incomplete which clearly states that the baby or the young girl is in incomplete and people are already ready to snatch away her innocence. The rod used to hang this dress is of swing. A swing where these babies play, their world is full of innocence and fairies. This is being over shadowed by the stark reality or maturity and cruelty. The work looks beautiful and serene at a distance but as u come closer it gets you into thinking a dialogue about the material. The dominant color used in the work is White, White is the color of purity and a controversial color in itself, and it stands for moaning in some cultures and happiness in the others. I want to show the harshness of reality in a beautiful way.
